Been there several times and really enjoy it. Great beer selection and the menu is unique and interesting. Food quality has ranged from excellent to average, but it's never been bad. They've done a great job with the interior and this is a much needed addition to the west side of Eden Prairie.

Great food, well trained wait staff, friendly. Management is visible and approachable. Consistent, never a long wait. We enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu. May never go to Champps again.

Drink by the Rink App brought us to Tavern 4 & 5 in Eden Prairie....we had a hockey game and this bar was 2 minutes away. We ordered a bloody Mary and a fire-roasted sausage pizza...very good & happy hour price!! Love the décor and the bartender was friendly.

Love this place! Great food, great atmosphere. Everything I've ordered has been wonderful. Staff is very friendly.

This is our favorite new restaurant. We love Redstone and now we love Tavern 4&5. The food is fabulous and the service is great. We especially love Avin our bartender. She is an awesome drink mixer and super friendly and warm. Its always a great experience every time we eat there.

Our first time at Tavern 4 & 5. We had a large group of 9. Good food served in a nice casual setting. We were able to make a reservation because of our large group. Others were waiting 45 minutes. Our table had a wide variety if items from burgers to pizza to Buffalo shrimp to Cuban sandwiches. Everyone liked their choice. The onion rings are a must! Very crunchy and not greasy at all. The server was very friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Tavern 4 & 5, unfortunatley didn't live up to the hype that i've been hearing. I was excited to go since it's apart of the Hazellwood (in Tonka Bay) family, which has wonderful food. The atmosphere was nice, I liked how the main dining room didn't have you jammed in there like sardines and the lighting was low without being too low to read your menu. I had the El paso turkey burger, which was ok at best. The salsa and cheese that topped it were almost tasteless and the burger itself did have too much flavor either- the avocado was about the only saving grace. I choose coleslaw as my side though, and was pleasantly surprised, it was very tasty. My friend had the Meditarrenan pizza- which looked kinda bland. I do have to say the onion ring towers looked amazingly delicious.

Like just about everyone else in EP I thought the only decent (if overpriced) place for breakfast was Original Pancake House, thankfully I found Tavern 4&5. Great for simple breakfast items e.g. pancakes, eggs, toast etc, a few different types of eggs benedict which are all stellar and at half the price of OPH. Went back for happy hour which was a mixed bag, their in house apple whiskey is one of the best drinks ever but their wood oven pizza is just ok. I'll be going here for breakfast from now on but I think I'll stick to Kona for happy hour.

I think this is a really solid place. Food is good, nice bar area although it is odd no place to really stand when you walk in. Some good beers on tap a d service is slightly above average. I hope they make it!
(4)Jim S.
I joined eight friends for breakfast here. As a group, we were very pleased. The menu has great choices. Staff was attentive and went out of their way to make sure we knew our business was appreciated. The food looked and tasted great. We will return!

Great food, ROTTEN SERVICE! I should note that the hostess was extremely friendly and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and thanked us when we left. I thought the food here was excellent. I went with a friend on a Saturday at about 11AM. It wasn't packed, but there was a normal crowd. I ordered a brown rice "Healthy Bowl." My friend ordered a burger and a soda. My meal arrived with quinoa instead of rice and my friend never received her soda. A different server dropped off our meals. Beside greeting us and dropping off the bill, I don't think our waiter checked on us once. He did however, hover around our table and he checked on us several times after he had dropped off our bill. He also seemed cranky and bothered every time we asked for anything. This was my second time here and BOTH times, the service was really bad. There's a really strange and negative mood coming from the staff here. They all seem really crabby and stressed out. Who knows if its the staff the management or their working conditions - but it needs to change because this place kind of sucks solely due to the people who work there.

We had Sunday Brunch there and I have to say I was quite impressed, from the eggs and Bacon to the Multi Grain Toast, it was quite delicious. Our Server, Michael was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and laid back. I definitely want to go back for lunch or dinner sometime.
(5)Dawn R.
I liked the owner's other restaurants, so we thought we would give Tavern 4 and 5 a chance. The Ruben was greasy, the burgers were nothing special. The margaritas were okay. I have had better. This is the worst of all of their restaurants, but also less expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. The onion rings were great. It was all okay, just nothing special.

We've been to Tavern 4&5 several times for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. The rotisserie chicken is awesome as is the wedge salad. The Caesar salad is ok, but a little heavy on the anchovies. Breakfast is great including the tavern potatoes and ciabatta toast. My husband loved the caraway rye toast. It's great to have a place like this so close.
(4)Hayley T.
My husband and I have ate both breakfast and dinner at Tavern 4 & 5 and have been very pleased both times. It is close to our house and seems to be a good go to place for any meal. We will be frequent visitors for sure.
(5)Linda P.
Love Love Love this place. I've been many times now and tried several different menu options - and it's all good. They have a great filet as well as awesome pizza. The range of offerings is impressive, especially considering everything is incredibly tasty and fresh.
(5)Bill D.
This is a Bunny's for Eden Prairie. Don't let the high prices confuse you with thinking the food is great. Creative bar food is the best description. The sangria is a VERY small serving for $7. Service was very good and the place was busy. Chopped salad pales compared to Redstone. Turkey burger with bacon is a bit of an oxymoron.
(2)Mark D.
Been there a couple of times. Carved Roast beef sandwich was great! Was there during lunch and it was pretty quiet. Second time went for an early dinner with the family. Was seated in the bar area and it was very loud. Kids meals were good but a bit pricy. The boss had a sandwich that very good and large and very messy. I had the walleye dinner. Wasn't good - the portion was small and it didn't have any flavor. Supposed to be a parmesan crusted walleye - again not good. Sides of rice and corn were ok at best. Best part of meal was the chocolate cake - very good. 1 drink, 2 kids meals, 2 adult meals and 1 dessert - $100 including tip. Not much value here.
(3)Judy L.
My 1st time visit was for breakfast, after hearing several good 'word of mouth' reviews. My entire party of 4 loved it! Of special mention, the egg white scramble, a healthy breakfast, which my companions raved about. My choice of the egg sandwich was outstanding! Service was exceptional; attentive, friendly & personal. The manager stopped to see how our needs were being met. Could not have been more impressed. I'm very excited to have another breakfast spot of superior quality in EP. Can't wait to try them out for lunch/dinner!

We've been several times, and other than the first (right after they opened) all have been great experiences. We've had dinner in the dining room and at the bar as well as breakfast. Every time we go we have a hard time deciding what to order. The burgers are great, although I have always opted for tater tots or their onion rings. The rings are huge and they change the beer they use in the batter each week. Granted, when you sub out for the fries, there is an up charge and you get 3, which might seem skimpy, but again, they are huge. If you get the rings as an appetizer, I believe 8 come with an order and more than enough for 3 - 4 people. The other appetizers we've tried are the pig wings and the shrimp, both of which were very tasty. We finally tried their dessert this past time - key lime pie - and it was one of the best we've ever had. It came served in a brandy glass and it was the perfect balance of tart, sweet and creamy. For breakfast items, the strawberry pancakes were wonderful as was the sausage and corned beef hash (my personal fav). Service has definitely improved since our first visit. Management seems much more attentive. They front of the house is more organized as well. Very glad to have the Tavern 4 & 5 in the neighborhood. We definitely plan on being back!

Was excited to have a tavern waking distance from our home. Craft beers are a hot item right now and Tavern 4 & 5 fell short. Nothing exciting to try. We put our name on the waiting list but looked at the menu, talked to a couple of friends that had stopped by to try the new place, but after seeing their orders, looking at the menu and being disappointed by the beer list, we left and went somewhere else. The breakfast menu looked interesting but we were there for dinner.

Just made my first visit here while in town for business. A local colleague had recommended this place, and was glad I went. Tavern 4 & 5 is a clean, slightly upscale tavern. Easy to find with plenty of parking, you can bring your family or work colleagues and feel comfortable here. Definitely not a dive filled with drunks. I went on a Wednesday night with a couple of traveling colleagues. They had a good business going but we were seated right away. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and he knew the menu and beer selections very well. He steered us to some beer selections based on what we told him our likes were, and we were not disappointed with his recommendations! The menu is pretty typical of good taverns: a lot of appetizer choices, salads, sandwiches, steak, and some entree choices. In our party of three, we had the fish and chips, the turkey sandwich (grilled, yummy), and the cowboy burger. All the food was quite good, made with fresh and good quality ingredients. For example, the burger was not some sloppy dive burger, but a gourmet burger (and at justifiably gourmet burger prices.) We did try a side of tater tots, but we were actually more impressed with the onion rings....huge, beer battered, and not at all greasy. The prices do reflect an upscale tavern or gastro-pub. If you're looking for $2.50 beers and $5 burgers...you'd best go somewhere else. But for $25 a person you can have good grub and a couple of very good beers.

Great atmosphere. Bartenders had tons of suggestions and the drinks were delicious. Service was great and quick. Unfortunately, the food was ok, overpriced and parking was horrible. We heard the brunch is great though....
(3)Angela M.
Awesome food!!! Definitely coming back for the oversized mouth watering onion rings! Server was lacking but not bad enough to prevent us from coming back!

I was expecting to like Tavern 4 and 5 more than I did. Several minor annoyances added up. Busy on a Saturday night, loud inside, lots of TVs for college football, nice atmosphere though had I been trying to carry on a conversation it might have been a bit challenging. I saw that many of the craft cocktails used an apple whiskey, so I decided to try that neat. Not a good idea. That's not really Tavern 4 and 5's fault, but nonetheless wish I would have ordered a bourbon flight for the same price. My server was friendly enough but there was a quiet upsell. The website has a picture of an outstanding looking bone-in New York strip, which is mainly what drew me there. But the bone-in New York is not actually on the current menu. Instead I ordered the wood-fired rotisserie half-chicken. She asked "all white?" and I said yes, as I don't care for thighs. It did not say on the menu nor did she mention that there is an extra $4 charge for all white. Now I have a quarter chicken in the hotel fridge that I'm not sure what I will do with. Would have preferred keeping the order basic, eating the breast, wing and leg. When the bill came I paid cash. They didn't want to bother with loose change, so they rounded up. I can afford the 39 cents, but if they had rounded down to avoid the change I would have felt better about it. I was writing a 3-star review for them in my head while driving home and happened to pass a Boston Market. I thought to myself, hey, I could have had virtually the same meal for one-third the price.
(2)Adam I.
Nice vibe to the place, plenty of TVs if watching sports is your preference, though not so omnipresent that you couldn't ignore them easily too. Even on a Saturday night, food was quick in coming out. Menu is varied but manageable. Been there twice for work and tonight on my own. The bourbon flight (single cask) was good, something a little off the beaten path. I've had the bison burger, which was great, and tonight was the lobster Mac and cheese. Yes, you read that right. Worked well and worth the price. Our server Jennifer was courteous and personable, and her recommendations didn't steer us wrong. Not a budget place to eat, yet not pricey. Definitely worth the money. Oh, and be sure to try the tater tots with bacon ketchup. Delicious. Definitely recommended.
(4)Jessica K.
Everyone I have ever talked to rants and raves about this place. So when I went, I expected out of this world food. The sandwich I got was good, not blissfully amazing like everyone had made it sound like. I then realized, everyone who was ranting and raving about it, were also from the suburbs, so I guess in comparison to applebees, it is out of this world amazing. For the suburbs, its pretty good. They tend to be pretty busy so if you are planning to go here for dinner, plan accordingly. The service is good. The food is good. If you are looking to eat out in the area, its a good place to hit up.

We wanted to catch some breakfast, and weren't in the mood to wait 45 minutes for mediocre pancakes at Original Pancake House. I searched on yelp for restaurants serving breakfast/brunch and we drove out here. We were pleased to find front row parking, and asked to be seated on the patio. We were seated at a broken tipsy table, and due to the fact that no one greeted us for over ten minutes, fixed it with coasters broken-in-half ourselves. Finally, a woman came over and said that while this was "so and sos" table, they must have oversat him, and she'd take our drink order. I got a bloody, Joe got coffee and Mom stuck with water. A few minutes later a frazzled server came over and asked what we'd like to drink - we said someone had just taken our order. Then without a word he turned around and went in, he came back out telling us he checked the sections and this was his table. Um... okay? Get it together. Our drinks came out, and we ordered. I told him that I do not eat eggs, and would the corned beef hash be more filling or the reuben benedict without the eggs. He highly suggested the reuben benny. I asked him about the tater tots that they have, since everyone yelps how amazing they are - he explained the different cheeses and that they're handmade. I said we'd love to try some as an appetizer, do they serve them during brunch? He assured me that they do. Mom ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon with bagel, and Joe ordered the breakfast burrito. Our server never even asked what meat he'd like in the burrito, so I asked him loudly, and our server said "Oh! Right!" and jotted it down as he walked away. Off-putting. The bloody mary was not very good. It had an inch long piece of meat, a cube of cheese and a cucumber... no lemon or lime at all. The mix tasted like pure tomato juice that was blended with pepper and horseradish - again just a weird taste. I liked the kick, and appreciated the beer back, but I would not order it again. I will give credit where credit is due, and Joe's coffee never went empty. When Mom asked for more water he kept bringing out new glasses, which was annoying to have the table filling up with empty glasses. After over half an hour, our food came out. My benedict had eggs. There were no tots. When the runner asked if we needed anything else, I mentioned we still had a side of tots... then when our server checked back 10 minutes later I told him that he rang my order in wrong with the eggs, and there were no tots still. He did not offer to fix my breakfast, and left without acknowledging the tots... and when he came back to clear our plates I was frankly over it. The reuben bene was seriously disgusting. The meat was cold and chewy, it was drenched in a separated hollandaise sauce, and the rye "toast" was simply rye bread. Thank goodness for the amazing hashbrowns that I got two bites of. The second star is for the burrito which Joe really liked. He said the meat was tasty. Mom liked her salmon, even though the portion was tiny. All in all, I MAY come back here for the beer and some apps, but I would never return for breakfast.

Highly recommend the tator tots with Bacon Ketchup and Beer Cheese Dip. Nice beer selection too. The BBQ shrimp were good with a nice crunch.

This local neighborhood gem is a for sure "go to". The location has been home to several other restaurants but it seems that Tavern 4 & 5 is here to stay. I've been impressed with the food and service here from my very first visit. It's a popular spot so expect it to be busy inside. Depending on the time and day you go parking can be challenging too. They offer a great happy hour from 3-6 pm during the week and a late night one from 9-11pm. Discounts on wine and beer and a variety of apps for $4-$5. Splurge and get the onion rings. You won't regret it! My favorite here are the skinny pizzas. I think it's such a cleaver idea with the middle cute out and replaced by a salad. The salad is always crisp and has just the right amount of dressing on it. The pizza is tasty too with my fav being "Drag-It-Tru-Da-Garden". Their healthy bowls are delicious too. I haven't tried breakfast here but know that it's an option 7 days of the week.
(4)Debi O.
I've been here twice - both times were outstanding. I started with a dark craft beer- it was great -Deschutes Black Butte Porter from Bend, OR. I had a veggie melt on flatbread, which was flavorful and had lots of veg on it. We had a little wait time on a Thursday night but it was fine and worth the wait. The atmosphere is a bit noisy and lively but very fun. Good service, prices were just fine.
(5)Camille H.
This is the home of amazing tater tots. What else is there? A good tater tot speaks volumes. These aren't the tater tots that your mom made (which I also love), but rather grated potato and onion, nicely seasoned and then served crisp. Crisp is the key word here. Can't be beat. We tried a variety of entrees, plus a starter of poutine fries. Fries, tater tots and cheese curds. A nice uptick on traditional poutine and the gravy was good. I had the cubano sandwich with tater tots. Sandwich was tasty with poblano mayo - a nice little twist. Others at the table tried the grilled veggie sand (which normally I would poo-poo) and it got great review, burger with may tag blue cheese and bacon (can't go wrong), bison burger (thumbs up) and another burger which I've promptly forgotten the details on but it got a good review as well. Situated in a strip mall, don't be deterred. Looks a little like it could be a chain, but I don't think it is. Nice and attentive waitstaff. She was promoting the BELT - which is a BLT with an egg on top. We didn't try it, but sounds like a winning proposition to me. We chose this place based on it's proximity to the airport. That mixed with the Yelp reviews put it in top contention on places to stop on our way home. Worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood.
(4)Crystal S.
3.5 stars actually. There wasn't anything terrible, but also not anything too great! I went with friends for Happy Hour on a Friday and the place was super super busy! They have valet parking which is weird to me. I should have tried it because I ended up having to park a ways away. The food was good (we shared apps), the drink selection was fine (not great on wine or draft beer, but a few good ones to choose from). Our server was not great, she seemed annoyed with the fact that she had to come over and take our order. Probably wouldn't make a point to come back, but wouldn't avoid it either. So, as you can tell, overall just an "eh" kind of place.
(3)Ian M.
This is one of the best restaurants in Eden Prairie outside of the area near the mall, I eat here regularly since it is near where I live. I've tried many things here and they're always very tasty. The pizzas are thin crust and cooked in a brick oven, my favorite in the Pesto Pizza with rotisserie chicken and red peppers. Their burgers are very good, get the tater tots as side they're amazing and unlike any tater tot you've ever had before. I've also had the Walleye which is very good. I love the ambiance it's very modern and nice. The only thing I don't like about this place is when you come in as a party of two. If it is very busy they will stick you on a high top in an area with about twelve, which are very close together. It's like you're being forced to dine with an other couple and it to me feels kind of awkward, this is the reason for the four stars. If they considered changing their seating I'd rate it higher.
(4)Kellie S.
The second time here was even better!!! We were greeted by a guy that said "welcome to our home". Loved that! The waitress was nice and sweet to my kids. The food tasted better than I remembered. Fresh coffee hit the spot. I might have to make it a regular breakfast spot!
(5)Matthew M.
Everything I have ever ordered at the 4&5 has been very good. I love their take on Chicken Pot Pie.
(4)Jenna E.
Great food, shitty hosts/hostess. Don't go there with young kids and expect to be treated well if it's a Friday or Saturday night. Our kids are incredibly well-behaved when we go out to dinner, but the front end has been nothing but rude to us when we have come there for dinner twice now on the weekends. We love the food there and are frequent guests, but they need some training in the front end.
(3)Aidan P.
I absolutely loved their cheese burger it was one of the greatest burgers I've had the cheese bread was a great appetizer that when you go there it is a must try the s'mores dip looks great but it wasn't as good as I expected
(4)Joel C.
We met my girlfriend's old college roommate and her fiance her for some dinner on a weekday night. The place was quite busy, and we got a nice booth in the back. I tried to order a few different beers, but many of the ones I wanted were tapped out...must be a busy place a lot. We ordered some awesome tater tots (not your standard tots) and a wood-fired pizza to share. Positives: -Incredibly great tater tots...i've never had anything like them. Negatives: -Wood-fired pizza wasn't that great at all...very blah. -Located in a non-sexy strip mall location. Blah again. -Lots of specialty beer that was listed on the chalkboard was tapped out. Maybe...update the chalkboard a bit? I certainly wasn't incredibly impressed with this place, but the tots alone make me want to try it again...maybe it was just a bit of an off night.
(3)Chad D.
I eat here whenever possible and always enjoy the food. Service is very good and their dry rub wings are spectacular. It's a very popular place so it's generally tough to get a table except for lunch time during the week.

BUZZ - Onion Rings (9/10) I ALSO TRIED - Boursin Juicy Lucy (8/10) - Beer Cheese Soup (8/10) The Hawks/Wild Game 6 was on tonight, and CNBC is not in HD in my hotel room, so I decided to hit up a sports bar. I looked for something around and this place showed up. I pretty much saw the word "Tavern" and got my jacket and headed to the car. I was a little surprised by what I saw. It wouldn't do this place justice to call it a "Sports Bar," because it's a lot more elegant than that. It also would be misleading to call this an elegant restaurant, because it's a lot more bar-like than that. The lighting and atmosphere feels like a "nicer" restaurant (think Longhorn Steakhouse), but the bar and the TVs do take up like 70% of the place. There's a small dining area that just seems outcast and neglected. These tables probably only get served whenever a server has to go to the bathroom, because you have to walk through there. The initial crowd as I walked in, about 30 seconds after the game started, were 40-somethings who were not interested in this game (even though it was on the speakers), but as the game progressed, they started leaving, and the crowd started to become what looked like mid 30's crowd -- all the responsibilities of marriage and parenthood, but trying not to lose touch of the social side of their 20s. At least that's what the crowd sitting at hightops were like. The ones around the bar were only a little younger, but definitely here for the game. JUICY LUCY According to Wikitravel, this is a Minneapolis creation. It's basically a patty melt, but the patty is pretty thick, and the cheese is cooked inside 2 patties molded together. Tavern 4 & 5 isn't really known for it, but I did specifically pick this place, because it was the closest establishment that offered it. I don't know what the variations are, but Tavern serves it on rye bread with caramelized onions. It's good! Now, I never actually saw the cheese in the patty, but it looked like it was leaking out onto the bread, and creating a cheese layer. Fine by me. The patty is very ground-beefy. It tastes like how ground beef smells the moment you put it into a frying pan (like if you were making Hamburger Helper). While it was grilled, there was no smoky flavor whatsoever. I liked the beef taste, but the smokiness would have helped its score. The caraway rye bread is also different for me, in terms of patty melts. It offers that strong rye taste that suddenly makes the bread a contributing part of the dish, instead of just a container for the patty. All in all, very good, and very filling! ONION RINGS The burger comes with a side, but you can pay $1.50 for premium sides, which onion rings are. I got 3 with my burger. That sounds tiny, but these are huge. If you stacked one ring on top of the other, it's about the size of a full onion! It means huge onion slices, and lots of batter. The onion is cooked thoroughly, so there's very little onion taste. The batter looks to be a beer batter of some sort, but it is very crunchy (and not just dull and flaky like most beer batters). It's also seasoned very generously. You're almost tempted to say it's salty, but it's not quite. It just teeters on that line. Great onion rings, and trust me, 3 is enough! BEER CHEESE SOUP There's very little, if any, beer taste, which means it's also not bitter, unlike some other beer cheese soups I've had. Beer tastes/smells great, but if you had a party and the next morning you have to clean empty beer cans/bottles, beer smells rancid! It's that "morning after" beer smell that I think a lot of beer cheese soups taste like, but not this one. It's a bit less creamy than most, but the cheesy flavors and seasoning are spot on! BEER 1 & 2 I also had 2 large Lucid Airs, which is a blond ale and were awesome! Complimented the food well, and were very flavorful in their own regard. The food was delicious, the TVs were pretty big and easy to watch, and hey, what can I say, the Blackhawks won (too bad we lost to the Kings)! Hopefully the meal I had is indicative of their food in general, and if that's the case, I really wouldn't mind stopping by again!

We had a really nice time at Tavern 4&5. An unexpected find. It was clear from the outset that these folks know how to operate a restaurant. The hyper organized geek in me adored the fact that everything behind the hostess stand was clearly labeled and organized. The hosting staff was friendly and efficient despite being completely slammed. We were seated in one of the cool fancy booths in the middle of the dining floor -- no idea what we did to be such VIPs, but I am sure this added to the experience. Beer wise, the list is fairly solid, though not huge. Still most beer lovers should have no trouble finding something that satisfies their cravings. Seemed like a good tap list and our server was pretty knowledgeable about the beer. Always appreciated. Food-wise, everything we had was good. We started with the cheesy tater tots appetizer, which was pretty tasty, especially with the bacon ketchup on the side. That's right. I said bacon ketchup. Our waitress informed us that the tots themselves are made in house using mashed potatoes. They were bigger than standard tots and pretty darn good. Bonus points for the newspaper themed butchers paper. I ordered the meatloaf, which was surprising but in a good way. It actually reminded me much more of salisbury steak than meatloaf, but it was very tasty and definitely hit the meat and potatoes craving. My hubby got the lobster mac and cheese, which was good though he did say he'd still rank the Chatterbox's lobster mac higher. Dessert-wise, we ordered the apple crisp, which was tasty, the caramel sundae which was huge and delicious and I ordered the chocolate cake, which seriously is a slice of cake as big as my head. It's multilayered cake and mousse and is much lighter than you would really think looking at it. very flavorful and super delicious. It came with a big scoop of ice cream and a small pitcher of chocolate sauce with kailua. YUM. I gave my husband the rest of the chocolate sauce for his sundae. We are now on day THREE and I might finish the cake today. It took three sittings. It is that huge. Our waitress was super attentive (almost to a fault to be honest), and I appreciated that a manager also popped by our table to make sure things were good. Overall very good. We'd go back for sure.
(4)Barbara W.
This place may have the best food in the west Metro, but they wouldn't make a reservation for two, only for parties of six or more. That's terrible customer service and told me all I wanted to know. I made reservations elsewhere. Hey, restaurants--reservations are for customers more than for your convenience.
(1)Briar R.
Love the atmosphere here!! The food is upscale bar food not your deep fried crap you get at most taverns. If you wanna hang someplace nice and not stick to the tables or the floor this place is it!! Good food great atmosphere!!!!! A must see!!!

Great service. Attentive staff. Better than average bar food ( for Mn). Sometimes the food falls flat, but they are always trying and striving for better and happy to take back an item that isn't quite right. Dave the manager is GREAT. It's our local spot and we LOVE The 9!

4.5/5 stars! Excellent option in Eden Prairie for a few beers, breakfast, or a night out with clients or a date. I've visited for breakfast, dinner, and game time beverages. The staff is quick, friendly, attentive, and warm. Every time I've visited I see the same store manager present, always with a warm smile and greeting. The food! Tater tots! Big portions! Flavor! Bourbon flights! Plenty of rotating taps, local and international. Almost everything I've eaten here was excellent, except the "flatbread pizza"; eh just not good. -1/2 star. This place does get quite busy, and the bar area isn't huge, so arrive earlier if your group is bigger or you don't want to wait. Overall, great addition to EP, worth a trip to the burbs if you want top notch drinks and food!

Hands down best restaurant in eden prairie. Reuben sandwich is amazing, wedge salad is great, and tator tots are yummy!

Stopped in for lunch. Wife had lemon shrimp salad that was great. The Cuban sandwich was the best I've ever had. The key lime pie was totally out of this world. It's a must have for any Florida lime people. Service was top notch. Beer selection local craft very good.

Where did this place come from? It's in a strip mall in EP; I thought it was going to be a sports bar, and while they definitely had the Wild game on last night (as they should have for playoffs), the restaurant had an upscale feel without being snooty. We started with some wine and deviled eggs. I love that these tasty bites are making a come back on restaurant menus. No one will ever make them as good as my gma, but they satisfied the crazy. What really took the prize was the beet and quinoa salad. The balsamic glaze was a perfect complement. Superb. Nice place to get a good meal out in the burbs. Check it out!

Man ... EP was over due for a place like this! Well organized staff, bartenders with a personality, wait staff friendly and knowledgable, management even came over to see how our dinner was. The food was dead on and although a little pricy ... The service made up for it. I'd return any time ! Try the apple cider brandy (I think that's what it's called... ) they'll know what your talking about :)

The food was really good and our server had a few good suggestions. The pizza is really good. I had the Hawaiin pizza. I am definitely going to go back to this restaurant.

I have been hearing about this restaurant for awhile now... Same owners as Hazellewood in Excelsior. I love the atmosphere here, cool bar, and outdoor seating. Had a very attentive server named Shannon. The food was awesome! The beer batter they use on the shrimp, onion rings, and fish is to die for! The horseradish tartar sauce is a nice side. We were told the #1 menu item is the tater tot hotdish... If it wasn't 90+ degrees out I might have tried it! The fish and chips were awesome, and I really enjoyed the Hazellewood pork chops. Not a huge wine list, but it was decent! They have their own blended whiskey, bourbon flights, and many different beer selections. I would recommend and I will be back!

Came here for breakfast with friends who love the place. Has a cozy yet sporty ambience--think upscale sports bar. I ordered the malted waffle with strawberries --simple, yet a favorite of mine. I discussed sides with our server, as there were so many great contenders. I decided on the tavern potatoes. My order arrived with bacon instead of potatoes--a mistake, yes, but I ain't complainin'! Overall, the food was very good and staff members were kind and even conversational. Despite the "bacon (dare I call it) error," I would definitely eat here again. I saw on the menu that there is quite a varied selection of burgers, which is my native language. I shall return.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Valentine's Day-- it was packed but we didn't wait long for a table. Menu has many tasty looking choices, we settled on the rotisserie chicken. Also enjoyed the tots with bacon ketchup and a chop salad. We appreciated that the kids menu has many choices other than the typical fried fare. We will visit again.

Good stuff! Not a fan of their bar stools- pretty uncomfortable. But the table seating is great- nice beer selection, and good food. Worth checking out!

In the past - had breakfast there - it was eggcellent! I have had lunch many times - excellent. Dinner tonight for the first time. Happy hour wings - $4 for 5 tiny wings - overpriced but tasty. $4 for 3 large onion rings - very very greasy and full of breading. Meh. Kid 1 had cheeseburger and fries $5- excellent. Kid 2 had cheese pizza $5 and asked for tator tots. (kids meals come with this but not the pizza) The pizza was very good. We were charged $9 for the tator tots. Wow. Overpriced! Wife has a hint of lime salad, fresh and enjoyable. I had a wedge salad - large portion however the lettuce was old and about inedible. I think this is a good spot - order wisely. I would go back but order something different. Kids loved it.

Yummm!!! The service from Lisa was the best I've ever had. The manager even stopped by a couple of times. The food exceeded expectations. Great breakfast menu and we came because they were rated top in the Twin Cities from the City Pages. The place was spotless and the atmosphere was vibrant! Can't wait to go back to try their wood fire grilled pizza!!

What a great addition to Eden Prairie! Their brunch is divine and their happy hour is my go-to with my best friend. The food is delicious and fresh; their salmon is always yummy. Fun atmosphere, but, beware, by about 5:30 or so the place is jammed and you'll be waiting for a table. I bought my best friend a gift card for Tavern 4 & 5 for Christmas; I hope she brings me!

I went back today and had a few disappointing things happen. I know they have always served generic soda as I have asked in the past. Today I asked and the waitress said they have Coke. I know full well what I got today was not Coke. I got a cup of beer cheese soup (good) and the wedge salad. The dressing was not real bleu cheese and the menu claims Maytag bleu cheese as the crumbles. I consider myself to have a pretty good palate. I fully believe the Maytag was gorgonzola of some kind, much more bitter than Maytag bleu. I have had a enough Maytag at Kincaid's over the years to know the difference. I would have said 3 stars if it weren't for the shady business of passing off items as something they aren't, I find that reprehensible.

This restaurant was fantastic! The food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly! I would highly recommend the tots with cheese on them!
(5)Paul M.
It's always packed, so make a reservation. If you don't, expect to be told that the wait is 45-60 minutes.

This was my first time here and I had the Sweet and Salty pizza. The toppings and flavor was great. The crust was a bit soft, ex specially for a wood fire oven. The combination of the fresh mozzarella, caramelized onions, prosciutto and drizzle of a balsamic vinegar reduction is so fantastic, I didn't care about the crust. Seating is ample as is parking, but it was far from empty especially on a Monday night. It's a bit far out from the center of the cities, but well worth a stop if you are in the area.

I recently visited this very fine very modern/rustic eatery for breakfast as the other breakfast joints in Eden prairie were very packed. The feel I had from the moment we entered the Tavern 4 & 5 was awesome. The first thing I noticed was attire the servers and hostess were wearing , black button ups and jeans. I knew then by the laid back dress code that I was in for a special treat. The little things matter the most to me when choosing a place to dine. I've never been giving the option on choosing a picture for my daughters to color.... this to me is a brilliant idea. The staff at this very fine establishment were all very nice, from the Point we entered until we left. NOW for the food, I ordered the corn beef hash all I can say is I give it to thumbs up. My fiance ordered the steak and eggs also a great dish not to complicated. The steak I noticed wasn't a bad cut either tender and flavorful is what you want in a steak and that it was. My 5 and 2 year old split the All American with bacon , we just requested an extra plate the Tavern 4&5 was very accommodating. Portions were perfect. If I Could recommend one little change it would be adding a bottle of ketchup and hot sauce on every table. Consumers really use these sauces, you know what they say out of sight out of mind. This recommendation I feel would benefit this fine eatery other then that I really hope my insight is helpful when choosing your next place to dine.

Tavern 4&5, Eden Prairie has been waiting for you. Everything about the space is great. Total remodel, no shortcuts. Based on their investment in the space, the owners are committed to earning our business. Also, picked up a $100 gift card at Costco for $80. Great craft beer selection, bourbon flights, and their own specially blended whiskey, mixed with apples, cinnamon and simple syrup. I tried a sample and it was fantastic. Would be great mixed with ginger ale or on the rocks. Breakfast menu was impressive, enjoyed the oatmeal pancakes with local maple syrup and unsalted whipped butter. Pecan smoked bacon was even better than it sounded. My son enjoyed the malted waffles. Will be back this week to have a drink and enjoy the dinner menu. This place will become a regular part of our rotation.

Came in for breakfast on suggestion from a friend, and boy am I glad that we did. My wife had the "All American" breakfast, which was your typical scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and toast. But those hashbrowns are anything but typical! By far, the absolute best cheesy hashbrowns either of us have had. So much flavor and just the perfect consistency. Meanwhile, I ordered the Ruben Benny (Caraway toast, sliced brisket, poached egg, chopped pickle and hollandaise sauce) which thankfully came with hashbrowns of my own. The brisket was flavorful with just the right amount of smoke flavor to it and the caraway toast was fantastic. I felt like the hollandaise sauce could use a bit more flavor, but was still tasty. And again, there were those delicious hashbrowns that I just couldn't get enough of. It's a bit out of our way, but we will definitely be returning to try a dinner some night.

This sister restaurant to Hazellwood is not quite up to par with its Excelsior pal, but the potential is there. Met a friend for dinner here on a craptastic winter night in Eden Prairie. Despite the terrible weather, the place was pretty full for a Monday night. Service is friendly and attentive. Menu is full of American comfort food and classics. I ordered the meatloaf, which is borrowed from their Hazellwood menu. This version is not as good. The meatloaf was a little too slimy for my tastes and the horseradish mashed potatoes were missing that bit of horseradish. My dining partner, on the other hand, loved her walleye. If given the choice, I'd drive the extra five minutes to Excelsior, but it's nice to have another option nearby.

Excellent restaurant. Was recommended for breakfast and was spot on. The oatmeal pancakes were really good. Little bit of a service issue when I made reservation but the hostess on the phone apologized and manager came by to see all was good with our group. I'm from out of town and was pulling together a breakfast with a group of friends. We all had a great time and my family will appreciate the gift I got for the service issue. Will be back myself the next time in town.

I had one of the healthy bowls which was really good. My husband enjoyed the chili and then ordered the onion rings which were huge and a little too battery but still good. We sat at the bar which we prefer over the tables. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. We would go back for sure!
(4)Mr. Y.
Excellent food. Everything I have tried here for breakfast and lunch are good. Been there about 10 times so far. Good atmosphere, easy parking and friendly service. This is definitely beyond your typical tavern food. More like an upscale restaurant food quality in a cozy tavern setting.
(5)Jeff B.
Bar food and drink evolved. Excellent menu and great atmosphere. Friendly to kids yet sophisticated and stylized.
(5)Miki S.
I love this place! Their food is always good! I highly recommend their beer cheese soup. And don't even think about splitting it, you'll only get mad at yourself! In general it gets busy around meal times, so try to avoid the rush if you want to get in and out quick. Their juicy Lucy is also a favorite of mine, but no matter what, don't forget to order their garlic tater tots- SO good!
(4)Leah A.
We sat at the bar and were immeditatly greeted! everyone seemed to be like old friends! The bartenders were shaking hands with customers and the staff was awesome~ The happy hour was so yummy, and the meatballs! oye! delicious! I would defintily reccomend this place! its laid back but a nice mature crowd!
(5)JandJ L.
A bit over priced and service is mediocre. Those two things are very important! The food is above par but without great service it falls to the middle. I will say the lobster mac n.cheese is amazing and the home made tater tots are good. But if u are hand making tater tots you should really hand Cut your fries! I've only been twice so I will give a 3rd try and hope for better!
(3)Celeste L.
Now that this joint has "settled in", I am liking it a lot more. The food is pretty damn good. Had the lobster macaroni n cheese the other day and was stunned at the amount of lobster in it. Delicious. Wait staff are usually very personable and friendly. Still don't like the layout or look of the place, and its very loud. But the food really is good.

This place totally redeemed my faith in tavern type restaurants. Just the other day we went to Edina bar and grill and had a horrible experience. Tavern 4 & 5 was the complete opposite. Amazing service, airy and pleasant atmosphere, and DELICIOUS food! I had the avocado salad. The presentation was really neat and it tasted amazing. Very fresh and tasty! I will definitely be back the next time I am visiting my parents in Eden Prairie!
(5)Tate B.
Great Apple Whiskey and Whiskey Flights! Tots, Pig Wings, Deviled Eggs & Cream Corn are all delicious!
(5)April A.
great food, just too loud. i really don't like yelling at my company while i'm eating. seems the way in most restaurants. love the bloody mary hollandaise sauce.
(4)Pat S.
What a great find. Looks like your typical sports bar but the food is amazing. Had the mahi mahi fish tacos an was blown away. Great food great service! Will be back.
(5)Diane R.
My family really liked this place! Our first visit on a Saturday evening- place was hopping. Manager and front staff were friendly, enthusiastic, our food delicious and served promptly. Only small negative was our server who was hard core stone-faced but I may have only noticed this because all other staff were noticeably different/great.
(5)Cameron T.
I would eat here daily. The burgers are dripping with juice my taste buds are overjoyed. Definitely coming back soon.
(5)Melissa W.
A good experience every time we've gone (including with kids). Love the interesting twist om comfort foods.
(4)April L.
Amazing Turkey sandwich, I get it every time I go!
(5)Andy T.
Have you ever had a Saturday Brunch crave? It's 11:30 am you've slept in, your head hurts and your starving. You don't want a greasy burger per say, you don't want runny eggs either. What to do? 4 & 5 Tavern is a rare breed of taverns that offer Saturday and Sunday brunch specials plus a full menu! How does Steak and eggs sound? Or my choice today, Corned Beef Brisket Hash, as in homemade goodness, eggs over medium with the homerun Multi-Grain toast. Smiles all around honestly. Yeah, my new favorite.
(4)Terry M.
my wife and I stopped in for a lunch I had the meatloaf with brown rice instesad of mash potatoes, it was excellent. mywife h ad the beef salad with quinoa and a said of salmon, she stated the salad was a bit too much oil s and the salmon was perfect, great hot tea (mighty leaf). our service was excellent and prices were great. we will come back can't wait to try breakfast
(4)Tanya H.
Nice atmosphere and everything we tried was delicious! We ordered the tater tots and pigs wings for starters, both were very different and yummy. Our table then ordered the bison burger, turkey avocado sandwich and cheeseburger. Everyone was pretty happy, with the exception of my 16 year old that thought the cheeseburger was too greasy. Menu options were unique, not the typical burger and fries, we love that.
(4)Marty S.
Love this place! Always something new to try and everything has been delicious! The staff is great too! You get what you pay for here though, so it's a little more expensive, but I feel it's definitely worth it!
(5)Jason K.
So I'm hesitant to provide 4 stars. Would have rather given a 3.5. Went in for breakfast due to breakfast options around being limited. I order the Ruben Benny. Service was ok but awkward. Food took a while to get. When it finally did come my Benedict was ice cold. The server was able to replace it with a new one and were very quick about it. Food tasted great after that and they even took it off my bill without saying a thing. I would go back even if it was just for the atmosphere.
